Description: This is hand-turned pen made from a piece of rosewood and a genuine 30.06 caliber rifle casing. This wood has a nice grain pattern to it. This is a one-of-a-kind, beautiful pen and would make a perfect gift for yourself or someone special. The rosewood on the pen was sanded to 600 grit then finished with several coats of friction polish. The hardware is gun metal colored. It has a cross-style ink refill. If you need to replace the refill, simply pull the two halves of the pen apart, unscrew the refill, and replace it. Refills are available at any office supply store. This is a once-fired (at least) 30.06 caliber casing. There is a possibility it may have a bit of burnt gunpowder residue inside the casing so it might set off an alarm at the airport! Because it is a genuine casing, it will most likely have some nicks or bumps from being ejected from the rifle when it was fired. This one definitely has a ding in the neck of the casing as can be seen in the last picture.
