Antique 1890s 18ct Yellow Gold Halo Ring Natural Sappire & Diamonds

Description: Antique 1890s 18ct Yellow Gold Halo Ring Natural Sappire & Diamonds - Size K 1/2. Solid 18ct yellow gold. Hallmarked “18ct” The ring is in exceptional condition for its age. It is showing finer scratches on its ring band, nothing can be easily seen without a close examination of the ring. The ring style is an antique halo ring. The ring is of a French origin. It is dated to the mid to late 1890s. This ring is antique and is of exceptional quality. The main stone is a natural sapphire and the secondary stones are natural white diamonds. All of the stones have been tested and they were all confirmed to be natural. None of the stones have undergone any colour enhancements. The sapphire has an early modern brilliant cut and all of the diamonds have an old European cut. Total carat weight for the diamonds is 0.30cts and total carat weight of the sapphire is 0.05cts. The diamonds have chips but this is only due to their antique cut, not from damage. The sapphire has some finer scratches on it when viewed under magnification. No stones are loose, missing or replaced The gold purity of this ring has been tested and it was confirmed to be solid 18ct yellow gold. (75.0% purity) The white metal setting has not been tested and doing so would damage the settings. I would guess that the metal is palladium based on its appearance. Has not been resized. The sides of the band have been shaved down, this was most likely done to accommodate two stackable rings. No other modifications have been made to this ring. Never undergone any repairs. All of the settings are in good condition, just showing some wear due to its age.
