Description: This is a unique antique hand sewn quilt circa 1865. Made of hand dyed fabric in a rare Turkish orange color with a cross pattern. It was purchased by my mother in 1977 in Michigan and valued at $350 at the time. It was appraised in mint condition at that time, but since, some areas have deteriorated slightly. I have shown 9 specific detail pictures showing wear or small marks. This quilt was displayed on my childhood bed, but always removed before using the bed. After that it has been stored in a cedar chest. Shown on a queen size bed. The sides hang down about 4 inches.
