Description: A part of history this vintage industrial scientific microscope lamp vintage 1942 was used to project slides on to screens. Has been professionally inspected and clean buld works and wiring is safe. Compact simple design was used during WW2 for field operations HQ. It works great can adjust up & down. It would also work great on a nightstand or end table or illuminating a piece of artwork. This lamp has really interesting styling and has lots of adjustable features - you can narrow the aperture, change the focal point, and adjust the angle of the lamp. Included is a single blue glass filter for the lamp. On the bottom of the stand you can read "LAMP Cat. No. 735 American Optical Company Scientific Instrument Division Buffalo 15, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A." U.S. PAT. NO. 2,278,916 DES. 121,585 CSA APP. NO. 1087." A patent search dates the lamp from 1942. The lamp measures about 9" L x 6" W X 8" T and has an On/Off switch on the cord.
