Description: This is a very nice antique vanity dresser STERLING SILVER BOTTLE HOLDER in wonderful estate condition. It stands 3 1/4" tall and the diameter of the base is 1 1/4"; its weight is 42 grams. The top unscrews to reveal a cylinder that holds a bottle for any use. Note the fabulous heavy floral repousse with foliage. The patina is very rich. The base is marked 925-1000 FINE and STERLING. There is an inventory number 689 and a small cross. I have been unable to determine the name of the silversmith, but it is clearly of American origin. This bottle holder has great character and would add to your vanity set.
