Description: Beautiful Hand Crafted Rwandan Woven Grass and Reed Basket Bowl. The bowl was made in Rwanda by the artisans of the Red Rocks Initiative, a non-profit safe collective where artisans can come together and make their individual crafts. The basket is in the arrow pattern in tan and green. The sisal grass and reeds are dyed using natural plant dyes. This basket is oval and measures 11 3/4" long, 10 1/4" wide and sits 3 1/4" high. It is tightly woven and sturdy, so it is fully functional to use or lovely to display. There is a sisal loop to hang it. The outside of the basket is lighter green than the inside so it appears it was displayed by a previous owner with the back facing outward. Besides the fading, the bowl is in excellent undamaged condition.
