This is a genuine prutah of Herod Agrippa I, struck in bronze, and in the exact condition you see in the high resolution photographs. This piece was struck under the authority of Claudius. Agrippa I was mentioned in the Bible in Acts 12 multiple times. He had James, the brother of John, put to death and had Peter imprisoned. The coin was made with an umbrella like canopy on the front and the lettering ΒΑCΙΛΕWC ΑΓΡΙΠΑ which means "of King Agrippa." The reverse features three ears of barley with leaves and the letters L Ϛ which means year 6 (of his reign or 41/42 AD). The Judaean coins of this era were often stuck on slightly irregular shaped flans and were struck by hand. For reference of size, a U.S. dime is about 18mm across. There is debate on which coin the historical "widow's mite" is. This coin is part of the family of coins it would have been. Grading of coins is subjective.
