LOVELY Vintage 14 Kt. Yellow Gold Carved Amethyst & Purple Agate Necklace

Description: WONDERFUL vintage artisan/designer crafted 14 Kt. yellow gold carved amethyst and purple agate necklace. This beautiful necklace is 18” long and weighs 42.5 grams. It features a lovely vintage 14 Kt. gold and hand-carved amethyst pendant that is 2 3/16” long by 1 5/16” wide. This pendant is hand-carved front and back and I believe that it represents a peach with leaves. Peaches symbolize immortality, or a long and healthy life in Chinese art. This pendant is set in 14 Kt. yellow gold which consists of a sturdy bail at top that is securely fastened to the gemstone pendant. This pendant hangs on a newer crafted 14 Kt. gold, amethyst and purple agate necklace that is finished with a 14 Kt. yellow gold filigree insert fishhook clasp. The necklace portion is strung on strong jeweler’s flex wire with 3.5 mm to 8 mm amethyst and purple agate beads, along with two antique, hand-carved amethyst beads that measure 10 mm in size. There are 3 mm to 4 mm round 14 Kt. yellow gold beads in this necklace, also. I have shown the pendant front and back in my photos. It is just as lovely on either side. This necklace is in very good vintage condition with no damage other than, perhaps, minor, age appropriate surface wear or natural inclusions in the gemstones. This necklace is MUCH prettier in reality than it appears in my photos, in my opinion. All of the gold, including the bail, beads and clasp, has been professionally tested as 14 Kt. gold.
