Description: This listing is for a NOS original GM 1965 and 1966 55 Amp AC Delco original alternator. Used on Corvette, Chevelle/Malibu, Chevy II, and all Full-Size cars. The 55 Amp was used on cars with AC or several electrical options where you needed the power. It is dated 5L9 and diodes 5K05. This alternator has been sitting on the shelf since 1965 and is in new condition, it does have minor shelf wear. It has been tested and works 100% correct and is in excellent working order. Never mounted in a car! It could have the cases redone to concours quality if you desire. All the internal components are 100% original and as it would have left the assembly line. The nice thing is the dated diodes. Great alternator and ready to install. Comes with original fan/pulley nut and washer as original.
