Charters & Caldicott is a 1985 BBC mystery series featuring the charactersCharters and Caldicott from the Alfred Hitchcock film The Lady Vanishes(1938). The series featured six 50 minute episodes broadcast on BBC1.It was then brought Stateside by Network 7 Productions for PBS. The series plot features Charters & Caldicott in their retirement. Caldicott livesin the splendid Viceroy Court in Marylebone, while Charters is a widower livingin a country cottage near Reigate, travelling up to his Pall Mall club on aGreen Line bus (hailing it on the street as if it were a taxi). When ayoung girl is found murdered in Caldicott's flat, the two friendsforsake their regular Friday lunch and cinema visit toinvolve themselves in a spot of derring-do. Note that this poster was never folded! An unfolded poster is always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded vintage posters in very good to fine condition is nearly impossible!
