Description: Here is one of the rarer Elgin models - a vintage all original 1941 WW2 era Elgin cal 554 15 jewels mens watch with the original Elgin gold filled bezel and base metal back cover case. The watch is running but not keeping good time - it is running fast and has a tendency to stop - it will need repair before use. The gold filled bezel shows some plate loss on the lug and case edges - mainly on the back of the watch. The dial shows some discoloration but is still clear and the crystal has some scratch wear. The watch is 27mm in width including the crown and 35mm from lug to lug. Rare Elgin WW2 era mens watch model.
