The adapter fits between the Thermacell butane cartridge and butane bottles of the type that are usually used for refilling reusable lighters.The adapter fits on butane bottles that has a conical or "step-shaped" plastic valve. A butane bottle usually contains 250g or 300g of butane, which means that you can refill the Thermacell cartridge approx. 11-14 times on one bottle, with a gas cost of 0.3€ (!) per refill.Thats a considerable saving compared to having to buy "factory-filled" cartridges from Thermacell. With a few simple steps, the check valve in the butane cartridge first has to be removed.The cartridge can then easily be refilled using this adapter.
