Description: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie. Published by Dodd, Mead in 1926. This is a first US edition, first printing with no reference to later printing. Missing the extremely rare dust jacket. Highly collectible. The book is in good only condition for its age. Boards and spine are worn and soiled. Board tips are worn with fraying exposing boards. Spine is slightly cocked. Lower edge of spine is frayed with a little loss of cloth. See pictures. Exposed edges of text block have minor wear and some soiling. Pastedowns and endpapers are age toned. Ffep has gift inscription in ink. Rear pastedown has small bookseller’s sticker. Several pages have some soiling, a short closed tear and/or dog-eared corners but the majority are relatively clean. Overall, a decent, affordable copy of a rare, extremely sought after first edition. Please see pictures (use zoom feature to look closely) and ask questions or for more pictures before bidding/buying so you can assess condition for yourself. I want my customers to know exactly what they are getting and to be happy with their purchases. If in doubt, please ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE bidding/buying. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!!!
