I wasn't 100% sure this book was what I was looking for but took a chance on it. I wanted something simple and straight forward that would explain in more detail the meaning of the creed. Though this book is anglican in its approach, it goes through the creed phrase by phrase and spends a few paragraphs explaining the meaning and importance of that phrase using Biblical references and historical quotes from early church patriarchs. It works well for our 9 week study as we spend a few minutes reciting the creed and a few minutes reading about the next phrase. This book would work well in an elementary or secondary Sunday school setting.
