Description: Take a look at this very rare George Barris Batmobile in the auction house original advertisement poster. Circa 1978 or 79 era. My thought is that this is extremely rare to find the Batmobile for sale on a poster like this. Where the Batmobile is being featured. Take a look at the auction house and it has the dates and everything. But it doesn’t have the year. But if you look at John Travolta‘s Trans Am that looks like a 1978 or 79 Trans Am so my thought is this poster is in that era. Possibly a little bit newer maybe early 80s. And if you look at the signature… Here’s what puzzles me. It appears that it looks like it is hand signed, but I am incapable of determining if this is a printed signature or a hand signed signature. I tried to look at it under certain light and I still cannot be certain it is hand signed. So no matter what… Hand signed or printed signature… This poster is as is as found. I can guarantee it’s an authentic poster, but I cannot guarantee if the signature is hand signed. And I’m honest and I just don’t know. So please bid accordingly. I am really selling it because it features the Batmobile being sold, which I think is totally cool. If you were at that auction in the 80s, you could buy an original Batmobile and it probably went relatively cheap in comparison to today. The coolest car ever made in my opinion. It is so iconic. so imagine this in your collection everybody will think it’s totally cool. But here’s the thing… It’s not in perfect condition however it’s pretty decent for its age. If you look at where the words the George Barris collection is, it’s missing a little bit of the surface of the poster. It looks like a white dot. Make sure you look at that. Also, at the folds, there is definitely some soil from sitting around. But other than that, it looks totally awesome. In my opinion, it just shows the originality of the poster it’s expected that it would be soiled and a little bit imperfect. So that’s a good sign of originality. But that’s your judgment. So let’s talk bottom line… Exactly as pictured original poster, uncertain if the signature is printed or hand signed as found with soil and some surface imperfection. As is as found. So make sure you look at every single picture. I show the size in the photographs. I have this in between rigid Styrofoam, so nothing happens to it while it’s in my possession. It’s nice and safe. I will pack this in a box with care to make sure it arrives perfectly safe it’s folded. I think I covered everything. It will be an awesome part of your collection. Whether you collect Batman or you like George Barris… this is the awesome poster. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out. Also, I am loading my store with total fresh. This poster is fresh. My camera is filled with fresh items. All week last week I loaded my store with fresh. Last month, I loaded it with fresh. so take a look… Because I combine shipping. So that’s everything… Much appreciation. And remember this poster is very rare so don’t let it slip by. I think Jay Leno would want this poster. That’s how cool it is. Thanks, John.
