Vintage 1970's Chambord Superautomatic All SS Diver w/Warm Patina,Tropic Strap

Description: ***********Although the automatic movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 43 hour power reserve period and the date wheel rolls over perfectly as it should given its unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended.***********This seldom seen vintage 1960's Chambord has a glossy black "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows wear. The lume, which emits a quick burst glow on only the dial after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The black bezel, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely with the golden buttermilk lume pip complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "AUTOMATIC ANTIMAGNETIC INCABLOC ALL STAINLESS STEEL WATERPROOF SWISS MADE" with "5764" stamped along the inner edge. The crystal should be replaced. While I normally show pictures of the movements of watches I put up for sale the case back on this watch is torqued too tight for me to remove. The automatic movement with semi-quickset date function runs strong, keeps accurate time and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 20.5 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an approximate 43 hour power reserve period. The dented/gouged non-screwdown crown winds buttery smooth. Given the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11.5 mm. This watch comes on a genuine Tropic strap with signature "ACIER" stamped flared buckle. It is fully pliable and free of any cracks/rips. The long end measures approximately 128 mm with the short end, excluding the buckle, measuring approximately 67 mm. Although the strap is in place thicker spring bars are needed to reduce the wiggle. A complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.
