Vtg 70s Emilio Borghese Maxi Dress Italian Long Slv ORANGE Small REPAIRS READ

Description: Vintage 1970's Italian Designer Emilio Borghese Maxi Hostess Dress Size SMALLLong Sleeves, Empire Waist, Stand-up Collar Orange with embroidered-look print, 100% Polyester Double Knit (Photos may look rather red, but it is definitely orange) Stabilizing interfacing on the 2.5" Empire waistband, front vertical stripe in the front & around the collar area. Back Zipper with 2 hooks on stand-up collar. Dress has no size tag, but I believe it's a small, maybe if you're on the smaller end of medium. I'm on the larger end of medium (but not large busted). I could get it on & zipped up, but it was just a tad too small. Please, look over the measurements carefully. This has been hemmed 4". There's a 2" hem underneath & the hand-sewn hem could easily be removed. I'm 5'3" and it was ankle length on me. There was some hand-sewn repair to the seams on the sleeves and bodice sides. I removed those and repaired them with a sewing machine. The three tears that were repaired, I did not touch. I don't have the skill to repair it any better than what has been done. The most serious of the tears is on the right-hand side of the bodice underneath the front dart. It's about 4.5" and runs from the seam right under the arm across the front. It kind of mimics the dart, which is right above it. The second tear is on the left side on the back right under the arm starting at the seam. It is about 1.5" The last tear is minor in comparison. It's on the front of the right sleeve about 5" up from the bottom of the sleeve. It's about 1" & starts at the seam. Since it goes across the middle of one of the designs it's kind of camouflaged. I have put photos of the three tears & repairs.
