VTG TAKAHASHI BLUE Glass MCM APOTHECARY Jar GROUND GLASS DAISY LID ~ 8.25" Tall

Description: Offering a BEAUTIFUL! Vintage Mid-Century BLUE Glass "TAKAHASHI" Apothecary Jar, complete with a GROUND GLASS Daisy Shaped. The ground glass lid is SLIGHTLY crooked, has a seam and is ROUGH on its bottom edge, ALL features are ORIGINAL to its production. The jar itself has no seam, has only a few small air bubbles suspended in the glass as well as other flaws that are inherent to its creation. There is also a bump in the glass on the bottom and sidewall. These too are ORIGINAL to the jars production years ago. This is a PREVIOUSLY OWNED ITEM and DOES DEMONSTRATE TWO NOTABLE FLAWS from use and display from over the years, to include a one larger chip with a crack, as well as a crack on the opposite side. The lid remains structurally sound and useable. There are a few areas of MINOR chipping to the lid which could be original to its production, as well as areas of dulling to the ribs on the lid. There are some surface scratches to the base and a few areas of minor scuffing to the jar sidewall. While not a perfect piece, this is in GOOD Condition for its age and would be wonderful addition to any MCM inspired home. This measures approximately 8 1/4" in height INCLUDING the lid, 6 1/2" in height WITHOUT the Lid, 5 1/4" diameter at the base and weighs approximately 1.6 lbs. This comes from a smoke free home.
